POSITION OVERVIEW: Under strategic level guidance, manage and implement domestic andinternational marketing strategies for product line growth for theorganization. Understand market segmentation to target product lines andposition organization with market-share. Develop market plans includingmarket assessment, competitor evaluation, product requirementspecifications, pricing, placement and promotion. Manage product life-cyclefrom product development to obsolescence. Participate in trade showsincluding developing promotional materials and advertising. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops product revenue and item level demand forecasts by marketshare (pharmaceuticals, dairy, water treatment, etc.), geography(US, Canada, Europe, Middle East, etc.), media (catalog, web,poster, etc.), and audience segments to support sales and inventoryfunctions with Profit & Loss as well as strategicaccountability. Acts as organizations’ representative and advocatecross-functionally, liaising with internal/external partners tosecure accurate product attributes; for example, product features,pricing, inventory position, including developing business casesfor new products. Analyzes and understands market segmentation, applications,customer needs, competition, market trends and dynamics to supportstrategies targeting new opportunities and overcome threats. Develops, interprets and manages product line reporting andanalysis, including establishing Demand Curves, key product metricsand other benchmarks. Creates messages and content for marketing materials includingadvertisement, product literature, case studies, tradeshows, website, press releases, newsletters, etc. Facilitates trade showevents, seminars, sales meetings and related administrativeactivities. Partners with global marketing team, external vendors such asgraphic artists and publication vendors to develop written graphicmaterial, advertisements and multi-media packages in accordance toNitto’s brand image standards. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or Sciences orrelated field; and 7 years’ experience in the water or membraneindustry with knowledge of water treatment technologies, membraneseparations or process separation; OR, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences; and, Master’s inBusiness Administration (MBA) with 5 years’ experience productmarketing; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Understand the technical water-industry market strategy. Working knowledge of business marketing principles in strategicplanning, resource allocation, leadership techniques andfacilitating of people and resources. Strong ability to communicate sales and technical concepts clearly,concisely and in simple terms to diverse internal groups ofemployees and customers. Ability to write clear processes, manuals and reports formanagement review and present technical information inunderstandable terms. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite softwareapplications. Working knowledge of CRM sales tool such as Salesforce.com. Travel for extended periods and work with a flexible schedule.
