Compliance Analyst
Northbound Executive Search
Our client, a leading financial services firm based in New York City, is seeking a KYC/AML Compliance Consultant to support its Compliance team on a contract basis. This individual will assist with client onboarding, due diligence reviews, regulatory compliance initiatives, and financial crime prevention efforts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews for new and existing clients.
- Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigations on high-risk customers and entities.
- Review client documentation to ensure compliance with AML regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor and investigate suspicious activity alerts and escalate findings as appropriate.
- Assist with sanctions screening, PEP reviews, and adverse media searches.
- Maintain accurate client records and compliance documentation.
- Support periodic account reviews, remediation projects, and regulatory requests.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Front Office teams on compliance-related matters.
- Assist with audits, examinations, and internal compliance initiatives.
- Stay current on AML/KYC regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- 2+ years of AML, KYC, Compliance, Financial Crimes, or Regulatory experience within financial services.
