Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Tech provides diagnostic imaging services through ultrasound procedures, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases. They are responsible for operating ultrasound equipment and delivering accurate imaging to assist in patient diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients per physician orders.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring quality images.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Document procedures accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Follow safety protocols including radiation badge requirements and infection control.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure effective patient care.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of recent ultrasound technologist experience.
• Hold current BLS, ARRT (S), or ARDMS certification.
• Maintain valid SC license or proof of application.
• Demonstrate proficiency with PACS, portable imaging, and various ultrasound procedures.
• Provide radiation badge and comply with safety standards.
• Capable of scanning general abdominal, OB, small parts, kidney, and vascular cases.
