Our mission is clear: to prioritize our patients with outstanding medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services, all delivered in a friendly, convenient, and compassionate environment.The Care Management Coordinator serves as a cross functional team member providing pathology and prior authorization support to ensure effective treatment, monitoring, and communication resulting in a positive patient experience.Job ResponsibilitiesMonitor surgery schedule for current day and 1-2 days in advance.Check phone messages and follow up with patients or coordinate communication with clinical team.Monitor the status of pathology reports including reports from outside labs and take appropriate action for next steps including physician review.Review pending plan completion log for undefined workflow.Serve as the "owner" for the results log. Update and manage the worksheet to ensure all data entries are timely and compliant. Monitor results logs and provide monthly reporting.Serve as the "owner" for the biologic Excel log, monitoring and updating as changes occur.Responsible for communication with drug companies in coordination with prior authorization efforts.Identify opportunities for efficiencies, standardization, and training and collaborate with Regional Operations Director for implementation.Act as a resource for clinical and prior authorization team members by performing various tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to updating forms, verifying appropriate documentation for prior authorizations and pathology, ensuring that pathology notification deadlines are met, and assisting in provider communication for multiple offices.Liaison for patient communication.Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.All other duties as assigned by supervisor.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.1-2 years of prior pathology or lab experience.Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.Highly organized and systematic, excellent attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.Physical DemandsEmployees may be regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard while performing the duties of this job.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status
