• Licensure/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, CPI or MOAB
• Experience: 2+ years recent ED experience required; ICU or Med-Surg experience with EKG competency testing
• Patient Types: All age groups, primarily adult ED patients including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, stroke, and mental health cases

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care to various adult and pediatric ED patients
• Initiate IVs, monitor patient status, and respond to emergent situations
• Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff
• Perform EKGs and pass competency exams prior to start
• Manage multiple systems and prioritize care for multiple patients
• Document patient care accurately in EMR (Meditech Expanse)
• Support unit operations including charting, medication dispensing, and patient monitoring
• Follow established protocols for patient safety and infection control
• Work independently and as part of a supportive team committed to quality care

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana RN license or compact state license
• 2+ years recent ED RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Strong multitasking, communication, and clinical skills
• Willingness to work night shifts and rotate holidays as required

About the Assignment:

This assignment is at a busy, traveler-friendly emergency department with 21 beds and approximately 85-95 visits per day. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment. Tour the ED with a dedicated team and benefit from continuous support including hospital orientation and unit-specific training. No floating to other units; immediate start with opportunity to extend based on performance and project needs.
