• Hours/Week: 36-40 hours/week
• Employment Type: Temporary travel assignment
• Required Licenses/Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI or MOAB
• Experience: 2+ years of recent ER experience in acute care settings

• Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations, including pediatric to geriatric
• Manage a patient load of approximately 85-95 visits daily
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and initiate appropriate care based on severity
• Support unit operations, including collaboration with charge nurses and hospitalists
• Utilize EMR system (Meditech Expanse) for documentation
• Handle multiple system tasks simultaneously, including MedSurg RN competencies (EKG, medication, and charting)
• Adapt to the fast-paced ED environment with a focus on patient safety and care efficiency

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana RN license or compact license
• 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience in an acute care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam before start
• Excellent multitasking and clinical skills, with comfort in managing admitted and hall patients
