Position: Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C)

Location: Seattle & Bothell, WA

Schedule

• Shift: Day 4x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)
• Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Tuesday shifts may be available)
• Weekends: Off

Overview

This position is seeking a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C). The ideal candidate should have at least 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting, with a preference for cardiology experience. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity, which may lead to permanent employment based on performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
• Assist in preparing patients for examination, including positioning and draping.
• Document medical history, medications, and allergies.
• Administer injections and vaccines as required.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood glucose checks via glucometer.
• Manage office duties such as chart preparation, stocking supplies, and telephone triage.
• Conduct follow-up phone calls and room patients for examination.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA-C) is REQUIRED.
• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting, preferably in cardiology, is preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system is a plus.
• Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation will not be accepted.
• Must possess skills in administering medications and handling authorization forms.

Clinic Highlights

The role will primarily be based in Seattle, WA, with possible floating to Bothell, WA, as needed.

Additional Information

• Candidate must be open to permanent placement at the end of the contract.
• No weekend or on-call requirements for this position.
• Proper uniform and professional appearance are expected.
