Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The role involves handling non-judicial foreclosure, bankruptcy, and title matters, representing financial institution clients in loss mitigation and asset recovery services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to exceptional client service. Duties Draft and prepare legal documents for court filing, including FDCPA Letters, Demand Letters, Notices of Sale, and Sheriff's Deeds. Represent client interests and provide strategic legal counsel on various issues. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. Review court alerts and provide compliance guidance promptly. Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, support staff, and external vendors. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school. Admission to the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing. 3-5+ years of experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, title, collections, or creditors' rights. Knowledge of Michigan court procedures and filing requirements. Preferred experience in in-house compliance, doc review, and/or litigation. Experience with CaseAware or similar case management systems preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) required. Certifications Admission to the State Bar of Michigan.
