Job Description Data Centre Rack, Cabling & Physical Infrastructure Design Engineer

Education background: Electrical & / Electronics Engineering / ECE/ CSE

Experience: 5 to 15 years

Industry: Data Center / Electrical Projects

Location : Remote

Key Responsibilities

Understanding of servers, GPUs, network switches, PDUs and high-density racks .
Working familiarity with cable routing, layouts of GPU server topologies ( NVIDIA GB 300 and B300 , or custom high-density AI servers).
Define cable routing, cable lengths, cable types and cable identification/colour coding, able labelling schemes and cable IDs. Exposure to various cables (DAC/AOC cables, fibre, Cat6A, console, power cables, patch cords)
Design equipment connections, electrical-network cable routing, electrical and rack layouts. Prepare layouts that consists of panels, cabinets, switchgear, UPS, PDU and other electrical equipment.
Engineering Documentation: includes Rack elevation drawings, Equipment allocation drawings, Cabling topology diagrams, Point-to-point cable schedules, cable matrix, BOM, Rack-wise material schedules, Network connectivity documentation and As-built documentation
Coordinate electrical layouts with civil, structural, mechanical , Data Centre Architects, MEP engineers, Network Engineers and IT/Infrastructure teams.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio
Data center experience is preferred.
Good communication and coordination skills.
