Our collaborative team of experienced veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service professionals works together to deliver high-quality care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. With six exam rooms, a growing caseload, and weekend urgent care services, we are proud to serve one of the most desirable communities in the Houston area. As we continue to grow, including plans to move into a brand-new facility in 2027, we are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team. Position Overview As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will be the first point of contact for our clients and patients. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, positive experience while providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced veterinary environment. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping people and their pets. Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but candidates with strong customer service experience and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Greet clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and empathy Answer multi-line phones and manage appointment scheduling Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate records Assist clients with general questions regarding services, medications, and hospital policies Process payments and manage daily financial transactions Coordinate communication between veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners Manage client records within the practice management system Support both general practice and weekend urgent care scheduling needs Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Provide compassionate support to clients during difficult or emotional situations Qualifications Required Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional and positive attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Basic computer proficiency Availability to work a rotating schedule that may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays Preferred Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or Customer Service Representative Experience in a veterinary, medical, dental, or animal care setting Knowledge of veterinary terminology Familiarity with veterinary practice management software Experience working with exotic pet owners is a plus What Makes Our Hospital Special AAHA-Accredited Hospital Fear Free Certified Practice Collaborative team culture with experienced veterinarians and support staff Low turnover and strong employee retention High-quality medicine focused on exceptional patient care Exposure to both general practice and exotic animal medicine Weekend urgent care opportunities in a dynamic environment Exciting future growth with a planned move to a state-of-the-art facility Skills for Success Compassion and empathy for clients and patients Strong attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure Professional verbal and written communication Team-oriented mindset Reliability and flexibility Schedule This position requires availability Sunday through Saturday, as team members participate in a rotating schedule that includes weekends.
