Job Description

Experience a rewarding contract opportunity for the 26/27 school year as a school psychologist working full-time with a high school caseload. This position offers 37.5 hours per week and the potential for some hybrid flexibility, though onsite presence is preferred. Step into a collaborative environment where several other psychologists work—supported and thriving together.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Current and valid school psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility) for Delaware
  • Experience supporting high school-aged students preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of psychological assessments, special education procedures, and behavioral interventions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage a diverse caseload
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable, and supportive environments for students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for referred students
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaboratively develop appropriate educational interventions
  • Support the implementation of positive behavioral strategies and social-emotional programs
  • Consult with educators, parents, and other service providers to ensure cohesive student support
  • Offer direct counseling or skill-building interventions to students, as appropriate
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reports in compliance with all local and federal regulations
  • Contribute to a team of dedicated school psychologists, sharing best practices and resources

District professionals praise the supportive atmosphere and camaraderie among the school psychologists, making this an excellent place for collaboration and professional growth. The flexible schedule possibilities and dynamic high school environment create a meaningful and impactful workday.
