Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nursing position in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients in a busy acute care setting. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with unit policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes during the assigned shift.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with travel nursing; previous experience with NICU procedures and protocols; caring and compassionate personality.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have a friendly, outgoing, and compassionate demeanor. Dress code requires navy scrubs; no artificial nails or nail polish allowed. The unit uses equipment such as medfusion pumps, alaris, Giraffe Isolette thermometers, and GE monitors. Typical patient ratios are 3-4 infants per RN. The team is composed primarily of RNs and supportive staff, with a focus on providing exemplary neonatal care.
