Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Specialist Austin, TX. This role involves providing care in a high-acuity, fast-paced pediatric intensive care environment. The position requires floating to various units within the facility as needed, supporting critically ill children across multiple specialties, including neurology, renal, pulmonary, surgical, and medical ICU.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) specialty, at least 2 years of experience in pediatric ICU, certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and current licensure to practice in Texas
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and pediatric emergency care and certification in Pediatric Trauma Nursing or related specialties
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a Level 1 Trauma Center with a 24-bed PICU and a 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a North Campus. Special considerations include working in Navy scrubs and pediatric print tops allowed.
