Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), Long-Term Care Penn Yan, NY (Finger Lakes Region) | Direct Hire | Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $99,300-$115,150, based on years of LTC leadership experience Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development

About the Role

Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, the ADON builds and maintains clinical and operational systems that drive positive outcomes for residents, families, and staff at a skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The role covers nursing competency, quality improvement, and fiscal responsibility (budgeting, cost control, and revenue enhancement). The ADON holds 24-hour accountability for the facility and participates in or chairs’ nursing and performance committees.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the facility's Performance Improvement Program and participate in the divisional Performance Improvement Committee

· Oversee the PRI and MDS processes to maximize reimbursement

· Represent Nursing on the LTC Safety Committee and coordinate employee safety initiatives

· Coordinate the attendance procedure process

· Provide daily supervision of nursing staff and clinical operations

· Cover Nurse Manager duties in their absence

· Participate in recruiting and interviewing CNA candidates

Required Qualifications

· BSN and graduate of an accredited RN program

· Current New York State RN license

· 4 years of managerial experience, including 2 years in a long-term care setting

· Working knowledge of NYSDOH regulations and survey process experience

· Ability to build strong relationships with medical staff, residents, families, and department leaders

· Strong organizational skills, discretion with confidential information, and composure under pressure

· Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

· MSN

· Prior ADON experience

· PRI and MDS knowledge

Schedule: Full-time, day shift, with on call as required.
