Summary
The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for visitors and callers, delivering professional, friendly, and efficient front desk support. This role manages the reception area, handles incoming communications and mail, and provides high-quality customer service and administrative assistance to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Visitor greeting — Welcome guests promptly with a professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor.
- Call management — Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments or staff.
- Visitor logging — Maintain accurate sign-in/sign-out records and issue visitor badges.
- Staff notifications — Notify employees of guest arrivals and coordinate timely connections.
- Front desk upkeep — Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
- Mail handling — Sort, distribute, and prepare incoming/outgoing mail and packages.
- Guest assistance — Provide basic information and directions to visitors.
- Administrative support — Perform data entry and clerical tasks to support office operations.
- System usage — Use phone and computer applications to manage calls, messages, and visitor information.
- Professional representation — Uphold a polished, professional appearance while representing the organization.
Essential Skills
- Administrative experience: Minimum 1 year in an administrative or office support role.
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills with a professional communication style.
- Front desk experience: Prior receptionist or front desk background.
- Technical proficiency: Comfortable with phone systems, computer applications, and Microsoft Office.
- Data entry: Ability to perform accurate data entry and basic clerical tasks.
- Professional presence: Consistent, polished demeanor.
- Multitasking: Ability to stay calm and welcoming while handling multiple tasks.

- Administrative — Experience in clerical or administrative support.
- Mail/package handling — Familiarity with mail and visitor management processes.
- Communication skills — Clear, pleasant telephone manner.
- Organization — Ability to maintain a neat and orderly workspace.

Work Environment
This position is based at the front desk of a professional office. The Receptionist interacts regularly with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while managing incoming calls and communications. The role requires consistent use of phone systems, computers, and Microsoft Office applications. A neat, professional appearance and a welcoming, organized presence are essential throughout the workday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
