Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist (e.g., for sleep apnea), your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often specialists and medical services are overwhelmed with referrals and the painstakingly manual process it takes to qualify your referral prevents them from getting around to it on time, or sometimes at all. Tennr prevents these delays and denials by making sure every referral gets where it needs to go, with the right info, at the right time. Powered by RaeLM™ Tennr reads, extracts, and acts on every piece of patient information so providers can capture more referrals, slash denials, and reduce delays.

Responsibilities

• Own employee lifecycle operations including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and internal mobility.

• Ensure a world-class onboarding experience that sets new hires up for immediate impact and long-term success.

• Manage HR systems and data (e.g., HRIS, benefits platforms), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability.

• Drive people processes forward by documenting, refining, and improving workflows as the company grows.

• Partner with leaders to support performance cycles, feedback processes, and employee development initiatives. Represent People Ops as a trusted, approachable partner across the organization.

• Support compensation and equity administration in close collaboration with leadership and finance.

• Maintain benefits programs (healthcare, 401k matching, PTO) and act as a knowledgeable, trusted resource for employees.

• Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and best practices while keeping things pragmatic and human.

• Champion culture initiatives that reinforce Tennr’s values and strengthen in-office collaboration.

• Analyze people data and surface insights that help leadership make better decisions.

• Support employee relations with discretion, fairness, and strong judgment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HRBP, or a similar role, ideally at a fast-paced, high-growth organization

• Proven ability to run core people processes independently with high attention to detail and a hunger for automation

• Strong understanding of benefits administration, HR systems, and employment compliance.

• Exceptional communication skills

• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.

• A people-first approach balanced with strong business judgment.

• Excitement about being in-office and contributing to a strong, collaborative culture.
