Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor for its Burlington, NC facility to prepare, identify, and route biological specimens for analysis. The position operates on a night shift schedule (Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30pm-6:00am) and requires accurate handling and data entry in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to staging areas
• Accurately identify, label, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
• Document and resolve problem specimens; store excess samples properly
• Meet department activity and production goals in fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Preferred: 3+ months specimen processing experience
• Preferred: 3+ months medical or laboratory experience
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
