Part-Time Spring Administrative Accounting Internship New Albany, IN Louisville, KY Summary Monroe Shine, a well-established local public accounting firm, is offering an exciting opportunity for motivated freshmen and/or sophomore students to join our team as Spring Part-Time Administrative Accounting Interns. This paid internship will provide hands‑on experience in our admin department during the tax season, allowing interns to gain valuable insights into professional accounting and tax services. Duties & Responsibilities Assist the admin department in both our Louisville, KY and New Albany, IN offices Work 2-3 days a week, accommodating your class schedule Gain exposure to the tax process and internal operations of our firm Completing other assigned duties as needed Perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to: Scanning and filing tax return work papers Providing receptionist support by answering phones and greeting clients Escorting vendors through the office Processing incoming and outgoing mail Assisting with tax return check‑ins Supporting in proofing tax returns Qualifications Currently enrolled as a freshman or sophomore in an accredited accounting or related program Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is preferred Prior experience in an office environment or customer service role is a plus Enthusiastic about learning and eager to take on new challenges Company Culture Monroe Shine prides itself on fostering a team‑oriented environment where every employee works for the firm, not just a particular supervisor.
