IT Business Analyst - Assistant Vice President

Job Purpose The Citi FXLM Operations Technology (Ops Tech) Team is seeking a Business Analyst to work in Operations and Regulatory Technology. The role will support existing projects and contribute to new projects that design and extend back‑office applications, processing systems, risk‑management systems and interfaces with multiple business applications. Key Responsibilities Work with stakeholders in Trading, Operations, Finance, Product Control, Technology and PMO to run meetings, coordinate and gather business requirements. Work with stakeholders across business lines for transformation projects to understand their business and processes. Understand current business processes and provide functional design inputs for the proposed technology solution. Create high‑quality documentation for Business and Functional Requirements. Manage traceability of requirements from BRD to Test Plan/Results. Analyze large data sets, create flow diagrams, prepare high‑level summaries and workflows. Work in close coordination with development leads on enhancements and defects, and assist with troubleshooting and resolution of application defects. Engage successfully with software developers and testers to ensure quality delivery on time. Plan, estimate, manage risks and issues, project reporting, manage stakeholders, and build strong relationships with the business. Assist in project execution through JIRA, providing tracking to technical teams and status updates to internal and business stakeholders. Shape the strategic architecture for the application by working closely with development leads and defining solutions that are robust and aligned with the technology roadmap. Develop best practices for evaluating, selecting and implementing technologies for use within FXLM technology. Monitor new developments in data visualization and analysis technology across ICG and the industry, and provide recommendations on new technology adoption. The platform supports all products traded within FXLM, including FX, Rates, FI, Money Market and Derivatives, giving the role high visibility and critical partnership across technology and business stakeholder teams. Knowledge / Experience At least 6‑8 years as a Business Analyst with an investment or global bank in Foreign Exchange, Trade Processing, Risk Management or related areas. Understanding of the end‑to‑end workflow for a minimum of two asset classes (FX, FI, MM, Derivatives) covering deal capture, execution, risk management, confirmations, accounting and settlements. Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of FX Options, Bonds and Rates is a plus. Education Level Strong academic record ideally with a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a top‑tier university. An MBA with a specialization in Finance is an added advantage.
