Step into an impactful opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing maternity leave coverage at Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School, conveniently located near Crown Point, Indiana. This contract position serves K–8 students during the 2026–2027 school year, running from August 10 through the first week of November 2026.

You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 90 students, offering support, evaluation, and intervention for a variety of speech and language needs. The schools are adjacent, making transitions between buildings easy and efficient. With flexibility to set your own 7-hour workday (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), you have autonomy over your daily schedule while ensuring students’ needs are met.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations.
• Strong background in assessment and evidence-based therapy for articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and support staff.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for managing a moderate caseload across grades K–8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen, assess, and deliver direct and consultative speech-language services.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal education requirements.
• Coordinate with teachers and parents to support academic success.
• Transition efficiently between Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School buildings.
