School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Crown Point, Indiana

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave assignment for the 2026–2027 school year! This opportunity spans both Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School, conveniently located near each other, and allows you to set your own daily schedule within a 7-hour workday. You'll provide vital speech and language services to a diverse caseload of approximately 90 students from kindergarten through 8th grade from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November 2026.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP in Indiana schools
Prior experience delivering speech and language services in a school setting
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Positive, student-focused mindset and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades K–8
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support student outcomes
Travel between two adjacent school buildings as part of your flexible schedule
