Remote Accounts Payable Manager

About the Position We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join our team in a flexible, part-time capacity. This position is designed for an experienced accounting or finance professional who is currently employed and looking for a flexible opportunity that can be performed alongside an existing full-time position. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the company's accounts payable activities. Review, verify, and process invoices, bills, and payment requests. Ensure invoices are accurately coded and properly approved before payment. Monitor vendor accounts, payment schedules, and outstanding balances. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation. Assist with payment processing and cash-flow-related activities. Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records. Monitor payment deadlines and help ensure timely payments. Review AP reports and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information. Help improve accounts payable procedures, controls, and workflows. Work closely with accounting, finance, procurement, and management teams when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience managing or coordinating accounts payable functions is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage invoices, payments, records, and deadlines accurately. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, or similar financial systems. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial information. Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely, where applicable.
