Senior Analyst, Financial ReportingThis position will be based full-time in our Houston, TX office located at 990 Town & Country Blvd.The Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting, is responsible for assisting in the preparation of 10-Q and 10-K filings. This role is required to keep up with emerging U.S. GAAP standards and disclosure requirements, as well as other ad-hoc duties. This role will also be one of the primary points of contact for external auditors to support the Company's audits.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Utilize the relevant guidance to ensure all 10-Q and 10-K disclosures are properly includedIdentify new work streams that could trigger new disclosures in the Company's 10-Q and 10-K filingsAnalyze current disclosure supporting documents to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements accordinglyAnalyze and document account and financial statement line item fluctuationsEnsure that the design, documentation and execution of the financial reporting process narratives and internal and disclosure controls comply with SOXAssist with general ad-hoc technical accounting researchCoordinate with the Company's external auditors and the various NuScale subject matter experts to ensure quarterly and annual requests are received and addressed promptlyPerform other duties as assignedCore competencies: To perform the job successfully, the individual should demonstrate competencies in performing the essential functions of this position by performing satisfactorily in each of these competencies.Business acumen: A strategic thinker with good business perspective and an understanding of the company's business. An active license, or currently in the process of becoming licensed, as a Certified Public Accountant is required.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of full-time accounting and/or finance experience with at least 3 of those years serving within the Big 4 is required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience associated with auditing or consulting publicly traded companies is required.Industry requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.Physical Demands:Ability to understand and communicate clearly using a phone, personal interaction, and computers.Ability to learn new job functions and comprehend and understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in a rapidly evolving environment.The employee frequently is required; to sit and stand; walk; bend, use hands to operate office equipment; and reach with hands and arms. The full pay range is $99,611 - $155,803 annually.At NuScale, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, full-time working experience, education and training, equity within the department.
