Construction Estimator

Estimators provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.

Minimum qualifications include a working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and five years' experience as an electrical estimator.

Key skills and competencies include excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills, and excellent oral and written communications skills.

Job responsibilities include quantity takeoff, solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations, review current material pricing levels, review and estimate addenda as required, visit site and/or attend site walk meeting, review bid/construction schedule, draft and submit proposal documents, follow post bid closeout procedures, attend weekly estimating team meetings, and performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Preferred qualifications include a construction management degree and experience in the construction industry.

Compensation and benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, company paid term life insurance and AD&D coverage, 401k retirement plan with employer match and company contribution, PTO accrual of up to 120 hours in a full year (subject to plan terms thereafter), and seven company paid holidays.
