Job Description
Job Opportunity Position Overview This full-time position is based in Canyon View Surgery Center and focuses on the role of an OR Nurse. The schedule is Monday to Friday during daytime hours. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preoperative assessments of patients and formulate nursing care plans accordingly.
- Implement operative care plans and evaluate postoperative outcomes and responses.
- Assess the effectiveness of nursing care and document findings in legal records.
- Prepare the operating room by assembling equipment and supplies using sterile techniques.
- Open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies while maintaining sterile protocols.
- Position patients appropriately for surgery and prepare the operative site.
- Confirm procedures and surgical sites in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Perform surgical counts for sponges, sharps, and instruments, documenting all nursing care provided.
- Assist in the clean-up of the operating room post-surgery, ensuring proper disposal of used supplies and sharps.
- Current RN License is required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of surgical nursing experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
