Compensation at a Glance

This role follows a commission-based compensation structure with a guaranteed floor, consistent with Karl Strauss sales roles.

The Group Events Sales Representative is a proactive, field-based sales role responsible for driving new event business across all Karl Strauss brewpubs. The Sales Representative is expected to spend the majority of their time in-market developing relationships, prospecting new clients, and generating incremental revenue through corporate events, social gatherings, and community partnerships.

• Prospect and develop new business through outbound sales, networking, and community engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, hotels, event planners, and local organizations.
• Generate, manage, and convert a pipeline of private events, catering, and group dining opportunities.
• Spend significant time in the field developing business and representing the brand within assigned markets.
• Collaborate with brewpub operations and marketing teams to coordinate events, execute promotions, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting within the CRM while meeting established revenue goals and performance metrics.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This role is designed for a self-starter who thrives in the field, builds relationships, and consistently generates new business. Success requires energy, discipline, and a strong sense of ownership over results.

• Located in the Orange County or surrounding area
• 13+ years of sales experience (restaurant group sales, events, hospitality, catering, or B2B)
• Strong outbound sales mindset and competitive drive
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
• Experience in restaurant group sales or event sale
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Toast Catering, TripleSeat or similar)
