Forklift Operator - Receiving - Bakery Plant 1st Shift

Job TitleShift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Hourly Rate: $22.52 an hourEssential Job FunctionsDemonstrated behaviors to support company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries.Show behaviors to support quality work processesFollow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).Pick up and remove waste from production line floors and containers. Push waste carts to dumpster area.Change out forklift batteries to operate.Operate shrink wrapper and install a new roll of shrink wrap film.Operate inventory control devicesMaintain cleanliness in all work areas and equipment.Pick full and partial pallets to load and unload trucks and move inventory into/out of warehouse.Transport supplies to production.Record the truck set temperatures for every trailer.Manually document the SKU and number for any loose cases.Monitor the conveyor system.Verify code date and case count off an inbound truck and loose casesCommunicate to the Coordinator or the Team Lead or operation issuesWork overtime to achieve production and shipping schedules.You report to Team LeadQualificationsMinimum:Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment for 3+ monthsExperience operating a sit down and standup double reach forkliftsPreferred:High School diploma or equivalentExperience working in a food processing or packaging environmentExperience work in a USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environmentEssential Physical and Mental RequirementsSit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on dutyOperate a standup double-reach forklift truck to pick and put away products in the refrigerated warehouse.Operate a sit-down forklift truck to transport materials and product to and from storagePick products from inventory and place on pallets for relocationCount cases of finished product and palletsRecord warehouse inventory data on formsAnticipated Close Date: October 16, 2026 Location: Indianapolis, IndianaOur BenefitsHealth: Medical, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life, accident and disability insuranceWealth: Great pay, 401(k)/pension eligibility, financial wellness programs and stock purchase planGrowth: Career development opportunities, employee resource groups and team collaborationBalance: Paid-time off and volunteer opportunitiesOur CompanyAt Conagra Brands, we have a rich heritage of making great food.
