Building Maintenance Worker - Building Maintenance Tech - Maplewood

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance, safety, and overall condition of the building. This role handles maintenance requests, inspections, repairs, and emergency responses to ensure the property is clean, secure, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of apartments, common areas, and building systems
• Respond to maintenance requests (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Painting, etc.)
• Conduct preventive maintenance and handle after-hours emergencies
• Track and complete work orders; communicate updates to management
• Coordinate access for tenants, vendors, and contractors
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and oversee trash/recycling
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers

Qualifications:

• Prior superintendent, porter, or maintenance experience preferred
• Strong general repair skills
• Ability to handle emergencies
• Basic smartphone skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule & Reporting:

• Reports directly to Property Management
• Experience: Required
• Employment: Full-time
