CNC Manufacturing Engineer

About this position Description: CNC Manufacturing Engineer Location: Johnson Creek, WI Employment Type: Full-time, on-site Reports To: Engineering Manager Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour based on experience, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus when hired directly by Saelens LLC. Candidates hired through a staffing agency or recruiter are not eligible. CNC Manufacturing Engineer: We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Manufacturing Engineer to help develop, optimize, and improve our CNC machining processes. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC programmer who is ready to take on broader engineering responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, improving manufacturing performance, and producing high-quality parts in a precision manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs for machining operations. Analyze existing processes and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, and quality. Evaluate robotic technologies and recommend solutions that support project goals. Work with Quality to investigate issues and ensure products meet specifications. Collaborate with Design and Engineering to interpret technical drawings and improve manufacturability. Provide manufacturing input during product development and process planning. Train machine operators on CNC processes and procedures. Maintain accurate CNC program, setup, and process documentation. Identify opportunities to apply new technologies and stay current with manufacturing best practices. Requirements: Qualifications Experience with CNC machining and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software. Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and cutting tool selection. Knowledge of robotic systems and automation technologies; experience programming and configuring robotic systems is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to changes in technology, processes, and project requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
