Benefits Coordinator

Our client, a leading financial technology firm, is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support its HR and employee benefits operations team in New York City. This contract opportunity is ideal for an early-career HR professional looking to build experience in benefits administration, leave management, and employee support within a fast-paced corporate environment. The estimated base pay is $25 to $30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Job Responsibilities Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and leave programs Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits eligibility, enrollment, and general plan information Assist with leave of absence administration and documentation in coordination with HR and third-party vendors Process benefit enrollments, life event changes, new hires, and terminations within HRIS and vendor systems Support benefits deductions, billing, and reconciliation activities Assist with employee communications, educational materials, and benefits-related resources Support onboarding and new hire benefits orientation activities Coordinate with external vendors and internal HR stakeholders to support day-to-day benefits administration Job Requirements 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, benefits administration, or a related HR support role Basic understanding of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and leave programs Excellent communication and employee support skills Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience with HRIS or benefits platforms is a plus Experience supporting open enrollment or employee benefits communications is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
