Established in 1974, North American Family Institute (NAFI | NFI) is a nonprofit human service organization committed to delivering community‑based mental and behavioral health care. Operating across eight states through four regional subsidiaries, NAFI provides 128 programs aimed at empowering individuals, families, and communities to achieve independence and success. NAFI also leads special initiatives, such as the Youth & Police Initiative and Homecare Choices. Guided by the belief that meaningful change is possible, NAFI creates supportive environments and provides tools for growth, helping individuals thrive within their homes and communities. Key Responsibilities Provide home‑ and community‑based services to families of children with behavioral difficulties. Collaborate with parents to identify and address barriers to progress, and partner with schools, physicians, and other health professionals involved with the family. Obtain referrals from a broad spectrum of sources (schools, hospitals, etc.) and focus on sustaining parenting and behavior‑management skills after program discharge. Complete all aspects of treatment: intake, insurance authorizations and re‑authorizations, treatment planning, collaboration with collaterals such as schools and psychiatrists, maintenance and after‑care planning, and maintain complete and timely documentation and charting. Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; mileage reimbursed at 0.60 per mile; do not transport clients. Fulfill weekly on‑call duties rotating among approximately 25 clinicians, available by phone from Thursday through the following Thursday. Supplemental pay is offered for hours over the 23-hour productivity requirement at $41 per hour and is above and beyond the base salary. Full benefit package includes health, dental, and vacation accrual (to be discussed with the office manager at offer). Annual tuition reimbursement of $2,500 for work‑related trainings and courses. Regular trainings in Risking Connection, First Aid & CPR, Parent Coaching, Emotional Regulation, Motivational Interviewing, collaboration with insurance providers, and ongoing training in the evidence‑based formulation model, trauma‑focused treatment, and all aspects of behavioral and family treatment.
