HVAC Installation Specialist - Residential & Light Commercial
Red Bear Mechanical - Carson City, NV $20-$40 per hour + Full Benefits

Red Bear Mechanical is a growing, locally owned HVAC contractor serving Carson City and the surrounding area. We are adding an HVAC Installation Specialist to our team for residential and light commercial projects. This is a year-round opportunity offering competitive hourly pay, excellent benefits, modern equipment, and opportunities to continue advancing your skills.
Position Responsibilities
- Complete residential and light commercial HVAC equipment installations
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers, and related components
- Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment while protecting the customer's property
- Perform system start-ups and verify proper equipment operation
- Identify and correct installation-related issues
- Assist with system maintenance and troubleshooting when needed
- Follow manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and applicable codes
- Maintain clean and organized jobsites
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial customers
- Coordinate with other installers and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain accurate job documentation using company-provided technology
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on residential or light commercial HVAC installation experience
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and installation practices
- Mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
- Comfortable using standard HVAC installation tools and equipment
- Ability to safely perform physical work indoors and outdoors throughout the year
- Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently or with a crew
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- NATE certification is a plus
- Boiler and/or plumbing experience is highly desirable
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00-$40.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications
