This high-volume requires a passion for craft cocktails and live entertainment. The new hot spot in Fort Lauderdale will offer luxury products and service, in a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesPreparing all alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guestsAssessing bar customer needs and preferences and be able to make personalized recommendations.Stock and maintain bar area to resort and health department standards.Provide an exceptional and memorable guest experience.Participate in ongoing training for professional development.Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests sitting at the bar.Set up bar and bar area according to Pier Sixty-Six five-star standards.Cut fruit and prepare garnishes as set by resort standards for service.Consistently keep the bar area organized and clean.Know all specialty cocktail ingredients and garnishes.Participate in updated training for the bar and menu items.Be able to follow pouring procedures appropriately; all drink recipes must utilize a jigger for accurate measurement; no deviation from the recipes is allowed.Notify Supervisors immediately of any product shortages or out-of-stock items.Have a working knowledge of draft beer systems and how to properly change a keg.Answer questions on menu selections and drinks to servers and guests.Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability.Record all transactions in the InfoGenesis system at time of order accurately.Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the dayComplete closing duties, including restocking items to set par levels, turning off lights, etc.Present physical and accurate check to guests and process paymentsEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to resort standards.Anticipate and address guests` service needs.Speak with others using a clear and professional language.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.Thank guests with genuine appreciation.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.Able to assist Supervisors with inventory.Notify manager or supervisor in a timely manner with suspicious ID cards and/or intoxicated guests.Proper cash handling of banksTimely transfer of checks for guests being moved to a different section.Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employeesPractice effective listening: (seek to understand)Perform related duties as required.Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy.Be courteous to all guests and coworkers.Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee HandbookMaintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at their respective outlet.Performs other job duties as requested by Supervisors.QualificationsEnergetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individualMust be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.Must have effective communication skills.Ability to implement and uphold service standards.Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.Enthusiastic and has a knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers.Ability to work under variable temperature conditions. Experience, Education, & Licensure High School Diploma or GED recommended.Some College experience or Degree recommended.Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.Must have a current Food Handlers card.Previous bartending experience in a professional setting is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, stretch, lift, carry, push, and pull as required.Ability to lift and carry bottles, glassware, bar supplies, kegs, ice, and other items weighing up to 25 pounds.Ability to safely handle and transport trays, glassware, beverages, and bar equipment.Ability to frequently reach above, below, and across the bar to retrieve and store supplies.Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including mixing beverages, pouring, shaking, stirring, stocking, cleaning, and polishing glassware.Ability to safely maneuver in crowded and fast-paced bar and restaurant areas.Ability to work around varying temperatures, including refrigerated storage areas and hot kitchen or service areas.Ability to maintain balance and coordination while carrying beverages and other items.Ability to safely navigate stairs and other changes in elevation when required.Ability to remain physically active for extended periods while maintaining a high level of guest service.
