Accounting Intern

Position Title: Accounting & Finance Internship Department: Finance/Accounting Reports to: Division C controller Position Summary: To support the Division Finance Team in all areas of responsibility: month end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, Accounts payable, AR collection, corporate reporting requirements, plant administration. Essential Responsibilities Assist with preparing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation Assist in special projects as necessary Performance analysis of operations that drive growth, strategy and profitability initiatives Financial plans and forecasts are developed and variances are analyzed against plans Ensure inventory matches asset accounting Balance sheet reconciliation CAPEX processing and follow-up review for ROI Performs other job‑related duties as assigned Review employee credit card charges. Required Skills And Qualifications Collegiate studies in finance, accounting or related field. Proficient in Excel and Word. Demonstrated analytical and communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically in relating well to diverse groups. Demonstrated written and oral communications skills, with a particular ability to write clearly. Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
