Epic Analyst

Epic Analyst Location: Remote Role Overview A Business Systems Analyst will join the Optum Insight team in a remote capacity to support clinical systems modernization. In this position, the analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for technical configuration, integrations, and Epic systems. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into system changes, using modern technologies to address clinical workflow challenges. Key Responsibilities Implement, modify, test, and administer complex business systems and applications, specializing in Epic environments. Conduct analysis of business and user needs to deliver technical systems solutions. Design screens, workflows, reports, interfaces, and prepare functional and technical specifications for system changes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues. Assist in managing service incidents and requests as a subject matter expert for technical configurations and integrations. Lead meetings and direct team problem-solving sessions. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external vendors and resolve vendor-related technical challenges. Preferred Qualifications Current Epic certification or proficiency in Orders, Order Transmittal, Order Sets, and/or ICON with 3+ years of experience. 3+ years of relevant work experience in business systems analysis or a related technical role within the healthcare industry. 3+ years of hands-on technical experience working with Epic in a technical build role. Communication and analytical skills with a record of presenting systems prototypes and functional models to business users. Work Environment This is a remote position requiring 40 hours per week during 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. day shifts, with rotating prime and non-prime on-call duties. The analyst will be a senior member of the Core Clinical Orders Sub Domain team, which consists of 12-15 team members.
