Description:

\n

Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under minimal direction.

Manage systems associated with interior of the airplane, along with the cargo compartments, exterior markings, and cabin safety. The selected candidate will have a statement of work that spans the product lifecycle: supporting customer configuration development, supplier engagement, validating and verifying design requirements, integrating business needs, and supporting the product through the production and certification processes.

\n

Using your ability to combine the expertise and resources of the interiors organization to certify and deliver the best products within the industry is the main goal for this role.

\n

Working under minimal supervision, position responsibilities include the following:

\n

· Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

\n

· Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

\n

· Develop test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

\n

· Lead performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

\n

· Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

\n

· Investigates of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs and innovations to meet projected requirements.

\n

· Communicating professionally across multiple organizations and/or throughout all levels of leadership.

\n

\n

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

\n

· Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry.

\n

· 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, design criteria and engineering release processes.

\n

· 5+ years of experience with 3-D modeling (Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SketchUp, Pro-E, 3DX, etc.) and/or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.

\n

· Experience working within a cross-functional team.

\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

\n

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering.

\n

· Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

\n

· Structural analysis experience.

\n

· Experience with FEM analysis methods and software.

\n

· Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite).

\n

· Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences.

\n

· Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development.

\n

· Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned.

\n

· Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.

\n

· Experience with aircraft insulation systems or linings

\n

· Experience supporting production and quality investigations.

\n

· Experience with supplier technical coordination.

\n

· Experience with corrective action development and implementation.
