Title Associate Attorney Practice Area Litigation Job Overview Boardman Clark seeks an attorney with experience in litigation, ideally in insurance defense, municipal representation, worker’s compensation, and/ or commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in handling cases before state and/ or federal courts, with jury trial experience as a plus. This is a great opportunity for a qualified candidate with litigation experience and interpersonal skills to step into a thriving practice. This role is hybrid with the expectation of being in-office 3 days per week. Primary Responsibilities And Duties Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate work. Draft pleadings and written discovery, brief and argue motions, conduct depositions, and appear in state and federal court before both judges and juries. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues. Communicate with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns and advise them. Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients. Build relationships with clients based on trust. Stay informed about current legislation, especially concerning legal specialties. Find ethical solutions to legal matters. Attorney Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active and in good standing with the state bar association. 2 – 5 years of experience representing clients in litigation cases before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, with jury trial experience preferred. Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies. Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively. Adaptability and attention to detail. Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
