UX Strategist

UX Researcher The UX Researcher will work in a cross-functional team of researchers and scientists to identify target markets and user segments, engage with qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect data to better understand users’ behaviors and needs, and collaborate with both internal and external colleagues and consultants to ensure on-time completion of project goals. Responsibilities: Work with cross-functional colleagues and stakeholders to determine research objectives and define appropriate research methods to support these goals Collect and synthesize data, identify and articulate actionable insights, present insights to stakeholders and teams in a story-telling format Design and facilitate user research studies (e.g., contextual inquiry, interviews, focus groups) and usability studies (both qualitative and quantitative) using moderated and unmoderated methods Facilitate ideation and design workshop sessions with internal teams and target user groups Engage with users of target market and user segments to conduct visioning activities, needs assessments, validation of problem statements, and ongoing testing through the development lifecycle Keep abreast of the trends and latest research in human computer interaction and related fields. Remain current with usability and / or accessibility guidelines that change with evolving technologies Implement best practices and strategies for any given user experience research and discovery work Collaborate with technical staff and designers, and outside consultants as needed, to ensure that the finished product adheres to the design goals and conforms to ETS technical, accessibility, and architectural standards Work with research scientists, learning scientists, data scientists, instructional designers, software developers, and product owners in cross-functional, agile teams to support the efficient and effective development of AI-enabled product concepts and prototypes Possess excellent organizational skills to prioritize workload across several projects, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses: A Master's degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Learning Sciences, Cognitive Science, or related field Relevant Years of Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in the UX research and/or evaluation of technology-based user experiences (e.g., usability, accessibility) Required Experience and Skills: Experience engaging with target market and user segments to understand their needs and aligning solutions with those needs Experience assisting in client requirements-gathering sessions and usability testing Experience with using various online research tools and platforms Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in agile teams and with cross-divisional stakeholder groups Have decent understanding and knowledge of UX design practices (e.g. Software Technology Inc
