Global Demand Planner

Job Overview Position: Global Demand Planner Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 6 months Total Hours/week: 40.00 Shift: 1st Shift Client: Medical Devices Company Job Category: Supply Chain Level of Experience: Mid-Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (US Citizens or GC Holders or EAD, OPT or CPT) Responsibilities Lead the Global Demand Planning Process for BDB Clinical Reagents, managing a portfolio of +2K SKUs. Optimize and generate statistical forecasts via SCM, measuring performance with error criteria such as MAPE, WMAPE, BIAS, and determine the best forecasting strategies using portfolio segmentation (e.g., ABC_XYZ). Coordinate and execute global demand review meetings with the global marketing team, confirm unit and revenue alignment for worldwide demand, identify risks and opportunities, and publish meeting summaries and action items. Consolidate demand review data and prepare summary reports for monthly SIOP and Finance Reconciliation processes. Pull monthly forecast snapshot data and consolidate for reporting and presentation purposes. Develop reports and analysis based on specific ad‑hoc requests. Collaborate with the Global Demand Planner responsible for BDB Research Reagents. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning using an ERP system. Experience with SAP & SCM (APO) is preferred. Strong MS Excel, data analytics, and statistical forecasting skills are required. Previous exposure to SIOP (S&OP) in multinational/matrix organizations is preferred. Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑resolution skills. Excellent communication skills. Education BS/BA with a concentration in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management (preferred).
