Overview
\nOur client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Northern NJ. Construction background is a big plus but not required. For more opportunities from KNM Resources, please visit -openings.
\n \nResponsibilities
\n- \n
- Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close. \n
- Generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. \n
- Resolve account reconciliation variances. \n
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. \n
- Review monthly financials for unusual trends, fluctuations, and inconsistencies. \n
- Perform monthly variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods. \n
- Develop recurring financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs. \n
- Compile financial data for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve processes. \n
- Evaluate job cost reports for accuracy and proper allocation. \n
- Investigate cost variances. \n
- Assist with WIP schedules and project performance reporting. \n
- Maintain and distribute Time & Material and Change Order pricing schedules. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance \n
- Construction background is a big plus but not required. \n
- Strong Excel skills \n
