Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Job Description Experience: Mid Level Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year Our company is a leading player in the energy industry, committed to driving sustainable solutions and innovative strategies to improve the way energy is produced, distributed, and consumed. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that is shaping the future of energy. Responsibilities 1. Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 2. Managing the cash accounting process, including cash flow forecasting, and ensuring that all cash transactions are accurately recorded. 3. Leading the financial reporting processes, including internal and external reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. 4. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes. 5. Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations. 6. Conducting complex financial analysis and reporting on financial performance. 7. Collaborating with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations. 8. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. 9. Providing financial insights and recommendations to the management for decision-making purposes. Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be a plus. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably within the energy industry. 3. Proficient in financial reporting, cash accounting, and other related accounting practices. 4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations. 5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. 6. Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel. 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 8. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines. 9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. 10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
