Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with primary care providers to identify and manage mental health and psychosocial issues, becoming an integral part of the primary care team.

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes that involve diagnostic evaluations, leading to tailored treatment recommendations for optimal care.
\n
• Provide brief and focused therapeutic interventions for clients seeking mental health support, applying evidence-based techniques and methodologies.
\n
• Advise primary care providers on appropriate client referrals to specialty mental health services or other necessary resources.
\n
• Initiate follow-up with clients to monitor their progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring their needs are effectively met.
\n
• Develop relapse prevention strategies and assist clients in maintaining stable functioning through coping techniques and self-management strategies.
\n
• Identify 'at risk' clients and collaborate on action plans to prevent deterioration of their mental health conditions.
\n
• Document client interactions and clinical assessments accurately in treatment charts to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
\n
• Educate clients on the connection between mental and physical health, promoting healthier lifestyle choices.
\n
• Consult with clinic management and other team members on behavioral health needs and contribute to program evaluations for continuous improvement.
\n
• Help clients navigate any medical treatments initiated by their primary care provider, offering support and resources to aid compliance.
\n
• Maintain adherence to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.
\n
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the clinic and its patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Professional Counselor will work with a diverse population, including veterans and community members experiencing various mental health challenges. Our clients may struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other conditions that require compassionate understanding and expert guidance. The LPC will be instrumental in developing meaningful therapeutic relationships that facilitate recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
\n
• Knowledge and experience in mental health assessment, treatment planning, and a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques.

• Understanding of developmental psychopathology and the dynamics of family and group therapy.
\n
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient-centered care.

• Mental and physical stamina to meet the demands of the position and address clients’ needs effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication with our diverse clientele.

• Experience working in a community health setting or with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs).
\n
• Familiarity with community resources available for mental health support and rehabilitation.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a SIGN-ON BONUS for new employees.
