Cyber Security Threat Modeler - VP

Job Summary Focus on integration and execution of an effective Threat Modeling program into MUFG’s Enterprise Information Security Risk Next Generation across Combined U.S. Operations (CUSO) processes and overall Application Security model. Work Schedule Office or client sites four days per week and one day remote. Responsibilities Perform threat modeling and provide security consulting to business developers, system designs, and engineers. Develop and implement security threat modeling plans. Support threat modeling tools and identify associated controls. Generate associated metrics and reporting. Monitor information security issues related to MUFG systems and workflows. Manage threat modeling process to help technology teams, control partners, and business stakeholders prioritize and remediate identified gaps. Generate security trend analyses and vulnerability reports. Utilize MITRE ATT&CK framework to identify and mitigate threats effectively. Identify and implement controls to mitigate identified threats. Cross‑train other teams on threat modeling techniques and best practices. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in secure coding, application security, or similar disciplines. Knowledge of information security standards, rules, and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality. Experience with performing threat modeling on web applications and researching real‑world threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures. Solid knowledge of SSDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Understanding of common software security issues and remediation techniques (OWASP Top 10, SANS 25, Mitre’s ATT&CK, etc.). Experience with analyzing vulnerabilities and delivering clear and coherent written reporting, identifying network risks and providing mitigation recommendations. Excellent knowledge of Windows/AD/Linux systems administration and vulnerabilities. Organized and detail‑oriented professional able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to craft and deliver communication of technical information from highly technical reports to C‑suite briefs and everything in between. Experience in the banking or finance industries preferred. Security certifications such as CISSP or GIAC desirable. Experience in security policy development, security education, network testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and compliance testing required. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely‑related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Compensation NewYork/ NewJersey: $140–$203k; Non‑NewYork/NewJersey: $140–$185k (depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location). The role may also be eligible for discretionary performance‑based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
