Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and make a meaningful impact in the school setting. This onsite contract opportunity serves K-12 students and accommodates a diverse range of communication needs across elementary, middle, and high school levels. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support students’ speech and language development throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- ISBE PEL with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement required
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CF-SLP) and experienced SLPs alike
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with varied age groups and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans based on students’ unique strengths and areas of improvement
- Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress toward therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student care
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to documentation, and maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Develop engaging, grade-appropriate materials to facilitate therapy sessions
- Provide support and education to students’ families regarding intervention strategies
