Purchasing Coordinator

GPJ is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas office location a minimum of 5 days per week. Your Role As a Purchasing Coordinator, you play a pivotal role in our procurement operation by supporting the Purchasing Agent. Responsibilities include reconciling purchase orders, executing purchase orders, and monitoring inventory levels. This role also requires maintaining relationships with our trusted suppliers and collaborating with our internal team members to ensure deadlines are met. Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail are necessary for this position. You generate and process purchase orders in alignment with material requisitions and production schedules. You will assist the Purchasing Agent, ensuring clear communication of delivery schedules and swift resolution of any order-related issues. Monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels is essential to support our production needs while minimizing excess stock. Your focus is to support the Agent and act as their backfill with a focus on reconciliation. Your Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing purchase orders and maintaining records. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of procurement practices, inventory control, and basic understanding of fabrication processes is advantageous. Prioritization/Organization Properly allocate time and resources so that jobs are completed within a defined timeframe; establishing a reasonable timeline for completion when no concrete date is given and clearly communicate that to the parties involved. Your Experience an Education 4 Year College Degree preferred but not required Preferred background in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with ERP systems for inventory management. Travel & Mobility No required travel Your Impact As a Fabrication Purchasing Coordinator, your role directly impacts our operational efficiency and ability to meet production timelines by ensuring the timely procurement of materials. Your attention to detail in purchase order processing and inventory management helps maintain optimal stock levels, reducing lead times and minimizing production delays. Your role is to support the Purchasing Agent with a focus on reconciliation. This is an hourly, non-exempt role that is eligible for overtime.
