Description: The 217-bed Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono (formerly Pocono Medical Center) is a full-service, short-term acute care hospital in East Stroudsburg, PA. The voluntary nonprofit is a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network and was the first community hospital in Pennsylvania to receive full accreditation from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP).

Requirements: Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
