Job Title: Radiation Therapist Radiology / Cardiology


Job Description:
This is a local float coverage position for two clinical sites in the Wilmington, NC, Coastal Region. The primary site features three Varian linacs and one CT sim, while the sister site, approximately 30 minutes away, has one Varian TrueBeam and a Siemens CT simulator. The traveler will float between these sites based on volume and coverage needs. The role involves working with a team, with no expectation to perform block cutting, dose calculations, or solo CT simulations-MDs and RNs are on-site at all times. The position offers flexibility with shift options, including 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, with days possibly varying between 5x8s and 4x10s. Typical shift hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with potential for 4x10-hour shifts if desired. The role involves working in a team environment, always paired with at least one other therapist, and requires no handling of dimensions or orientation.


Schedule Options:

• 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:30)
• 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)

Shift Length: 10 hours


Hourly Pay Rate: $57.27


Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in adult acute care settings
• Traveler experience preferred but first-time travelers accepted
• Skills include CT simulation, custom molds/shields, MRI, PET scans, tumor localization, beam modifying/positioning, block cutting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, wedges, dose calculation, and proficiency with Pinnacle (Philips), Eclipse (Varian), and Aria systems
• Certification: BLS, ARRT T (additional certifications as applicable)
• Additional experience with Varian 21ex/ix, lift/transfer devices, radiation safety, and simulation of treatment sites

Additional Details:

• No RTO restrictions beyond 7 days maximum, and no call-off or onsite work restrictions
• No float or weekend requirements
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• No scrubs provided; professional attire required
• No dimensions or orientation needed; traveler will start directly in the clinic
