Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.The Maintenance Technician I plays a key role in keeping our facility running smoothly. In this position, you'll perform general maintenance inside and outside our manufacturing facility, ensuring every area operates safely and efficiently.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and lightingCompletes minor repairs to facility fixtures, furniture, and equipmentEnsures doors, windows, locks, and security systems are working properlyCarries out preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on all equipment according to the established scheduleChecks critical systems regularly to catch wear and tear before it becomes a problemReplaces filters, lubricates moving parts, and tests systems according to manufacturer recommendationsMonitors air quality, lighting levels, and water quality to meet health standardsEnsures compliance with safety regulations, codes, and industry standardsMaintains inventory of tools, supplies, and non-production partsResponds promptly to emergencies such as power outages, water leaks, or structural damageCoordinates with outside vendors on facility and equipment repairsOperates specialized maintenance equipmentPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:2+ years of mechanical or electrical experience, training, or a combination of bothExperience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack to load tractor-trailers and other vehicles as neededBasic data entry skills and strong attention to detailProficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and SlidesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsReliable attendance and punctualityAvailability to work first, second, or third shift, plus weekends as needed to meet project deadlinesSelf-motivated, takes initiative, and inspires othersThrives in a fast-paced environmentWorks well independently and in small teamsContributes to a positive, productive work environmentComfortable working alongside office pets (cats and dogs)Not Required but Nice to Have!Not required to have pets, but highly recommended!Physical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands described below are representative of those required for a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
