Talento Search Group has an opening for a  CNC Setup Technician in the Northbrook, Illinois area. This is a direct hire role with a pay range of $70,000-75,000 per year, depending upon experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot machine failures/coordinate with maintenance on fixes
• Upload and editing of programs for production runs
• Assist / train operators on machine operations
• Interpretation of blueprints/schematics for machine setups
• Program verifications before uploads and production runs
• Tooling setup & training for new products
• Assist engineering w/process improvements (product or equipment)

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing / machine shop type environment
• 2 year technical degree highly preferred
• Experience with CNC equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
• Ability to upload, edit/program equipment (writing programs from scratch is a bonus)
• High attention to detail
