Multiple Special Education teaching roles are open from August 2026 to May 2027 across elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as unique positions in a Bridges Alternative School Program supporting students with severe behaviors. Whether your background is in life skills, supporting students with autism, or behavioral programs, your expertise will be highly valued.

Choose from a range of classroom environments to match your experience and passion—10 openings at the elementary level, 5 at middle school, 4 at high school, and 2 serving all grades in the alternative program.

What you’ll need to bring:

• A valid and active Kansas teaching license appropriate to your designated grade level (must be available before placement)
• Previous Special Education teaching experience, particularly in life skills, autism support, or behavioral settings
• Commitment to creating supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environments
• Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students
• Adaptability to tailor instruction and interventions to individual student needs

Your key responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students in your assigned classroom type
• Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with parents, caregivers, and support staff
• Employ evidence-based strategies and interventions to foster academic and social growth
• Maintain detailed, timely communication and documentation in compliance with state guidelines
• Cultivate a safe, positive, and engaging classroom culture for all learners
